Pizza Scrolls

With school holidays in full swing, we thought you might like an easy snack idea straight from The Grove Kitchen, to help keep little hands busy and little tummies full! Not only are Pizza Scrolls one of our favourites, but our kids love them too.

Cheesy, warm and delicious! There are so many reasons to love Pizza Scrolls:

  1. They are a quick, easy and nutritious snack.
  2. It’s an easy and fun recipe you can get the kids involved in making.
  3. They make a great portable snack for when you and the kids are on the go.
  4. A good way to get your kids eating vegetables.
  5. A freezer friendly snack you can make in bulk, freeze and pull out when you need a quick meal or snack.

 

You’ll need:

  • Puff Pastry
  • Pizza Sauce
  • Shredded Cheese
  • Mushrooms (finely diced)
  • Capsicum (finely diced)
  • Oregano or any other herb of your choice (optional)

 

The how to:

  1. Preheat oven to 200c.
  2. Spread the sauce onto each sheet of pastry.
  3. Sprinkle the capsicum, mushroom and cheese on top of the sauce.
  4. Roll up the pastry to enclose the filling.
  5. Brush the edge lightly with water and fold to seal the roll.
  6. Cut each roll into 1 – 2 cm and placed onto a lined oven tray.
  7. Bake from 15-20 minutes or until crispy and golden.
