On Saturday, we welcomed local families into our new Belfield centre for a very special community event: A First Aid for Children workshop in partnership with St John Ambulance NSW.
The session was led by qualified first aid professionals and focused on helping parents and caregivers feel more confident responding to common incidents involving babies and young children. From everyday bumps and falls to emergency situations, families were given practical guidance, helpful tips, and the opportunity to ask questions in a supportive environment.
For many parents, knowing what to do in an emergency can feel overwhelming. That’s why opportunities like this are so important. At The Grove Academy, children’s safety and wellbeing are at the heart of everything we do, and we know this is every family’s top priority too — feeling prepared to keep their child safe, calm, and cared for in any situation.
The workshop also gave families the chance to connect with other local parents and explore our beautiful new Belfield centre. It was wonderful to see our spaces filled with conversation, learning, and community spirit.
We’re proud to create opportunities that support families beyond the classroom and strengthen connections within our local community. Thank you to everyone who joined us and to St John Ambulance NSW for delivering such an informative and engaging session.
